Porsche Concept Stores

The Australian Porsche Concept Stores in Newcastle and Perth required a façade that reflected the luxury and precision of the Porsche brand. For these projects, ALPOLIC™/fr aluminum composite cladding was selected for its superior performance and aesthetic appeal, making it the ideal choice for such high-profile designs.

In Newcastle, Astroclad tackled the challenge of creating the first Australian Porsche Concept store’s intricate façade. With minimal design direction and the complex three-dimensional curves of the lamellas, the Astroclad team took charge of the design and engineering, crafting their own CAD drawings and prototypes. The ALPOLIC™/fr cladding was chosen for its exceptional machining quality, paint finish, and longevity, ensuring it met Porsche’s exacting standards.

The Perth Concept Store posed similar challenges, particularly with the curved lamellas on the façade. Roxby Architects, in collaboration with Vision Clad Australia, overcame initial skepticism about the feasibility of the curved panels through innovative solutions and meticulous craftsmanship. Vision Clad manufactured and installed approximately 1,100m² of ALPOLIC™/fr, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic perfection.

Both projects exemplified the importance of precise coordination and material selection in achieving Porsche’s vision, resulting in façades that not only met but exceeded the luxury and performance expectations associated with the Porsche brand.
