Metro Residences (Chatswood Towers) – In progress
As part of the NSW Government’s Project Remediate program, Metro Residences, a cluster of three high-rise residential towers above the Chatswood Transport Interchange, is undergoing a comprehensive façade recladding. The project involves the removal of existing combustible cladding across a highly visible and operationally complex site, replaced with ALPOLIC™ NC/A1, manufactured in Japan by Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Co., Ltd.
Spanning more than 25,000m², the works represent one of the larger and more prominent projects within the program. ALPOLIC™ NC/A1, a non-combustible mineral core aluminium cladding solution, was specified for its suitability in high-rise residential applications and its ability to deliver a consistent and refined façade outcome across all three towers.
The specification is supported by a 20-year full-cover manufacturer’s warranty from Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Co., Ltd., providing long-term confidence for owners and residents as the buildings transition to a safer, compliant and contemporary façade.
